From the airport to Le Marin
About 30 km on the southern road: 40 to 45 minutes outside rush hours. On weekdays this road is busy towards Le Lamentin in the morning and in the other direction in the late afternoon. On departure day, allow a margin to return the car before check-in.
Sailors: the car before and after the boat
The marina is a meeting point, rarely a base. The car covers everything around the sailing: the drive from the airport with luggage, provisioning in the town's shops, days ashore before boarding or after you're back.
If you're at sea for several days, match the rental to your days ashore where you can: mileage is unlimited, but a car waiting in a car park still costs money. For a whole crew's shopping and bags, a 7-seater or a van has more boot space than a city car.
